Hello, Bottom Neighbors! We are happy to share our monthly Golden S.E.E.D.S. update with you. We invite you to read the announcements below, apply for any programs you are interested in, share information with other neighbors, and be sure to check our newly updated website throughout the month for our latest updates and opportunities.

Dallas College Entrepreneurship and Job Skills Training As a partner in the Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development, Dallas College is hosting a series of virtual workshops to answer questions about free job training and entrepreneurship/small business programs available to members of the Bottom community.
Upcoming workshops:
- WorkReadyU No Cost Job Training Program – Job Training Information Session Opportunitieswill be available every Wednesdayfrom 12-1pm for the month of November, except for November 25th. Registration is required and can be completed at https://www.dcccd.edu/cd/workreadyu
- Face to Face Orientation Sessions – In-person orientation sessions will be held on November 5th 9:30am-12pm & 1:30pm-4pm by appointment at the Bill J Priest at 1402 Corinth Street, Dallas, Texas. Interested persons must attend an information session prior to orientation.
- Small Business Workshops – Small business education webinars will resume November 16th.

LiftFund Small Business Funding Resources As a partner in the Dallas Collaborative for Equitable Development, LiftFund is hosting a series of virtual workshops to provide education and training to small business owners.

Southern Gateway Deck Park Equitable Development Plan
The Southern Gateway Deck Park Equitable Development Team is hosting two community meetings to discuss the information gathered during their engagement with the Oak Cliff and Greater Dallas Communities.
This meeting will share what they have learned over the last several months of the engagement process and offer a chance for community members to share feedback and continue to inform the creation of the park’s equitable development plan.
